Long time, no see...

My mom is very aware that she has neglected the blog. She really has nothing to say for herself. However, she is hoping the awesome pictures above will make up for it! Our friend, Joe, recently turned his hobby into a second career and we were his first kids that he has photographed. We went to the IMA last Saturday and had a ball:)

As for updates, here are a few:

  • I started swimming all by myself last week. Mom has begun calling me mermaid and grandma thinks I'll be on the swim team next year (just like my mom...on a swim team by age 5:). I haven't even started swim lessons yet this year. I just noticed a girl swimming one day and decided to try it myself! I kind of do a half freestyle/half breaststroke thing, but it works & I love it!

  • I also just learned how to ride a bike. Mom and dad got me the purple bike with a basket and horn just like I wanted and I have been riding it ever since.

  • Bella is starting to talk more and more! I like to help her by saying "Bella, say _____" and she does! She likes that game.

  • Mom can tell that Bella is trying to tell stories too. She likes to reinact things that happen and mom is the narrator. It's rather entertaining.

  • A few of my favorite things right now (other than swimming and riding my bike): playing barbies, having play dates, doing crafts (mostly making bead necklaces/bracelets), reading books, and watching cooking shows (with mom) and the SMILE channel

  • A few of Bella's favorite things: playing with her babies, carrying bags around with high heels on (either mom's high heels or my shoes...just as long as they aren't her shoes), playing with MY barbies (sometimes it's hard to share these, but she is my sister...plus mom says if I can't learn to share with my sister, then I have to learn before I can be allowed to share with friends...aka no friends over), playing with her car outside, swimming, and reading

Thanks for checking our blog out...enjoy the pics!

Spring Break 2010 (Pictures courtesy of Kristen Browne..told you I'd give you the credit:)

What a wonderful week we had with the Browne family (plus Grammy and Peggy...or Peg as I later in the week began to call her:). Bella has no fear of the ocean or the sand...and spent many days rolling around in it and giving it a taste test. By the last day, she was ready just to play in it (as I'm sure she caught on to the fact that mom/dad would take her to the deck to play after eating the sand). I couldn't get enough of my cousins, Cailynn and Trey. They are so good to me...I know I am much smaller than they are, but I really like to pretend that I am just like them & they are so patient with me! It was great to spend so much time with the whole family...
Whether we were playing in the waves or just lounging in beach chairs or playing games inside or baking with mammaw , every day was lots of fun!

See...I told you I like to pretend I am just like them...

Sisterly love...

The adults (and Trey) played some corn hole...I have to say I am very impressed with Trey's corn hole abilities. He plays a mean game of corn hole!

Easter Sunday on the beach...what a great place to celebrate a special holiday!

Even though we were shivering several days, I claimed I wasn't cold.

This is my hula swim suit...it may look cute, but it doesn't stay on in the waves all that well. I had to keep pulling it up.

Grammy thought it was a little chilly, but she made it down to the sand several days to watch us play:)

Feeding the birds...they really have no fear about coming close if they think you have food!

We went to a mini amusement park one day...I think the train was Bella's favorite ride. Mom says I have to go to bed now...so enjoy the rest of the pics!

One more comment...we saw a boat named after me:) I thought Uncle Eric might like this...
