Isabelle's First Trip to the Zoo

Today we went to the zoo with our friends Aiden and Malia (and there mommy, Camille). The penguins were eating lunch when we got there!
I think Aiden is pretty cool and we always have fun together! He kept trying to hold my hand, but I wasn't really in the hand-holding mood. We did play a fun game of tag after lunch though!
This was Isabelle's first trip to the zoo and wouldn't you know...she slept the entire time. Mommy had to wake her up at 1:00 to feed her before we left so she had a full tummy on the way home.
My favorite part was the dolphin show! I guess the dolphin show is always my favorite part...

Just some recent pics....

Mom finally remembered to bring the camera upstairs during bath time...Isabelle loves her bath now and is content just hanging out in her bath. We usually take a bath together, but tonight we just focused on Isabelle.
But, of course, I couldn't let mom take pictures of just Isabelle...I needed to be in a few:)
She doesn't even cry when she gets out of the bath anymore. What a big girl!
Oh, yeah....I brush my own teeth now. I even sing my ABCs while brushing and dad is teaching me how to spit. Which means I practice spitting at other times during the day....like when mom is checking out at the grocery or when I meet someone new at the park. I say (in my own way) that practice makes perfect and if mom and dad want me to spit after brushing my teeth, then I'll have to practice all the time!
Mom finally got a picture of Isabelle smiling...even though she has been smiling since August 9th! For some reason she'd stop as soon as mom got the camera, but not today! And now she is all tuckered out...

Future Bulldogs

Mom has a thing for dressing us alike...I guess I'll humor her for a few years before I tell her I am way to cool for that!

Go BU
I guess with and Mom, Dad, two Uncles, a great Aunt and a cousin who all went to Butler we are bound to be fans! If nothing else, mom says that we look pretty darn cute in our BU gear!

Happy Adoption Day Isabelle!

On September 18th, we celebrated Isabelle's Adoption Day. I gave her so many kisses that I think she was a little tired of seeing me after the day was done.
(Mom tried to delete this duplicate, but it wasn't working...I could probably teach her a thing or two about computers:)
Isabelle slept in her sling throughout the whole proceedings.
I made a grocery list with Grandma because I couldn't understand what was going on. Grandma kept me busy and happy....and Grandpa bought me M&Ms afterwards! I was a little sad to get in the car when we left because I love going downtown and seeing the big buildings!
Mom and Dad told me that Judge Herrin was our attorney for my adoption, so it was fun seeing him again.

We had a party that night with family, but Mom forgot to take pictures:( I think Grandma and Mammaw took some so we'll have to get them and upload them later. It was fun to celebrate Adoption Day with Isabelle, but mostly I enjoyed the yummy cake. I even had blue icing stuck to my teeth! Mom says that my Adoption Day is October 19th, so hopefully I'll get more cake soon!

on to the circus

We started the night out with a big hot dog. I was a little unsure about what was going on, so I just sat in my seat and ate my hot dog.
It was soooo good.
Then we had a chance to go to the floor, so I warmed up to the idea of the circus. By the time we got back to our seats I couldn't wait for the show to start. I clapped and waved to all the performers. I also did a little dancing to the awesome music they played.
It was so much fun to experience this with grandpa.
Mom got me some cotton candy, but I was way more interested in my new friends' (triplet girls who sat next to us) popcorn. They were nice enough to share their popcorn with me...even though I probably ate more than they did. It was my first bit of popcorn and even though mom and grandma were a little nervous (something about a choking hazard???) I was just fine.
I was pretty excited on the way home. Grandma/Grandpa got me this wand that lights up and its been entertaining me for hours.
I don't want you to think we forgot about Isabelle (it's just that she sleeps so much, she didn't really make it into many pictures this weekend), but she did get some QT with daddy while I was at the circus. I think they had a good time too.

fair

The cars were my favorite ride...I went on them again and again and again.
I did take a break to try out the airplane...A little scary at first...
I at least mixed it up once and tried the back seat (but I wanted the same car every time:) My favorite thing was probably the bounce house, but it was too hard to take a picture in there because I was all over the place! I worked up a sweat in that thing. Then we got ice cream and that made it so much better. What a wonderful day!

Fun Filled Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. I spent the night at grandma & grandpas on Friday and got to visit with my Aunt Meg, Uncle Bob and cousin Hunter (well second cousin, but I really don't understand what all that means so I just call him cousin). Then on Sat. we went to the fall festival parade and the fair. Then, as if that weren't enough, I went to the circus on Sunday with my grandma, grandpa, and mommy (daddy stayed home with Isabelle:)

I was a little hesitant at first, but then I warmed up to the idea of all the people...and of course the candy helped:)
It was fun to wave at all the floats going by. I even got to see my friend, Ava, who was in the parade.
Michael (aka BFF), Jenny, and Emma even met us for the parade. Emma was full of smiles!
After a while, I was a little bored with the parade and thought going through grandma's purse might be more fun...

Elizabeth at Gymnastics

I have graduated to the 2s class at gymanstics and love it! I used to have to go to the "mom and tots" class, but my teacher, Miss Jackie, said I was ready for the 2s!!! This is our warm up:)
I especially like swinging from the bars and I haven't run away from my teacher since the first class. She even sent me a note in the mail telling me what a good job I was doing listening and staying with the class. I'm glad because I've been working real hard on that!
I used to need help with this, but now I can do it all by myself.
I still need help with the balance beam, but I wait patiently for my teacher to get to me.

August Pics

Mom has been busy so she hasn't taken the time to share many details on my blog. I guess I understand...but we have had a busy August. Recently my grandma turned 60 and we celebrated by having a party (I know...it is hard to believe she is 60, she doesn't look a day older than 40:) Here I am with my cousin, Addyson, and Aunt Alissa!

Sister has grown quite a bit! She is already over 9 lbs. and smiles all the time! She even giggled in her sleep the other day. Mom says she is sleeping really well at night! I like to give her kisses and share my toys with her...I even like to play with her baby toys every once in a while...and I sometimes make daddy pretend to feed me like a baby and then burp me. I can do a great impression of Isabelle's burps.
I tried corn on the cob for this first time. I'm not sure which I liked better...the corn or the butter...probably the butter!
We spent lots of time at my grandma and grandpa's house this August. Grandpa just finished a 3 season room and Uncle Eric and Aunt Alyssa visited as well. Also, we don't travel too far because baby sister HATES her car seat...she screams whenever we have to ride in the car, so grandma and grandpa's is about as far as we go right now:) Here Isabelle is hanging with grandpa.
It was so much fun meeting Addyson. It's hard to believe she is just 3 weeks older than Isabelle! She is absolutely adorable, but I think she was a little overwhelmed by me. I tend to scream a lot and baby sister is used to it...but I don't think Addyson liked it very much! I can't wait to see them again....

Here I am with Uncle John and Grandma's birthday bash! I had a blast!
