Hangin' At Home

Mom hasn't posted new pictures lately, so we decided to take a few of us hanging at home today:) Isabelle is starting to enjoy some of the baby toys....like the bouncy seat with fish/lights!
She is also more and more alert each day! Mom says she has to watch the clock though...because if she is awake for more than 2 hours at a time, watch out! Cranky sister! Nobody wants sister to be cranky:)
Isabelle also likes the sling aunt emma made her. Mom says she is a little nervous to set her down during the day...she seems to think I'll do something to her...I don't know what gave her that idea...I mean the day I crawled into the crib was an isolated incidence. I was just trying to share my toys (which mom tells me to do all the time), so I'm not sure why she made such a big deal out of it!
These days, it is much easier for me to fall asleep for my nap if my mom tells me we will do something fun, like play dough, after my nap. That gives me a good incentive to go right to sleep!
I am learning all about shapes and colors right now, so play dough is a fun way to do that. I normally like to play with blue play dough, but today I chose purple!

Nanny Cailynn Comes to Stay

I had a wonderful week this week! My cousin Cailynn, aka nanny cailynn, stayed with us to help my mom with me and Isabelle. Since my mom had an extra set of hands we got to go to a lot of great places! On Tuesday we went to the indoor playpark. On Wednesday we went to the zoo. And on Thursday we went to the new outdoor water park! Here I am running through the water park:)
I tried to do everything that Cailynn did. Having her with us allowed my mom to hold Isabelle more and not have to worry about chasing after me:)
Mom says I don't walk anywhere....I just run!
On Friday, nanny Cailynn's last day:(, we colored on big paper and made pumpkin brownies. It was so much fun having her stay with us...dad even offered to pay her to nanny all year long and skip 3rd grade! She politely declined the offer, but said maybe she could come back before school starts!

Hangin' Out

Even though I gave up the paci a year ago, I thought I'd try Isabelle's out for size...it felt kinda funny, so I gave it back to her. Mom also let me try Isabelle's formula because I kept asking for it....I actually liked it!
I am reading more and more these days as well. I think Isabelle likes my voice. At the end of this story I said, "and then Cailynn and Trey went home." Sometimes I make up my own endings!
I could give Isabelle kisses all day long, but mom makes me leave her alone when she is sleeping. I hope one day that she doesn't sleep so much!

Welcome Home Little Sister

I woke up Saturday morning to find my baby sister at home!!! She was born on July 9th at 1:35 in the afternoon...weighing just an ounce less than I did (7 oz.) and the same length that I was when I was born (19 1/2"). Grandma/Grandpa and Mammaw/Pappaw were there when she came home at 2:00 Saturday morning...meanwhile I was sleeping snug in my bed having no idea that my life was about to change:)
When I woke up, mommy introduced me to to Isabelle and I thought she was so cute. What was fun was being able to see everyone who came to visit!
This morning I decided to crawl up next to Isabelle and read her a book about our cousins Cailynn and Trey....I added my own ending by saying "and then Cailynn and Trey went home." She liked it!
Uncle John came to visit tonight and he always makes me laugh! We played with my cards and he pretended to fall asleep. He is so silly.
I think Isabelle is a keeper...although mom says I'm still adjusting and little more irritable than normal, I think I'm doing pretty well with my new baby sister:)

Birthday Girl!

I finally turned 2 after a year of saying I was 2!!!! So many of my friends and family helped me celebrate and I was thrilled about my party!

Here's me with mom and dad. I am now pretty good at saying "cheese" for the camera!
I got to eat all of my favorite foods with some of my favorite people (the menu consisted of hot dogs, thanks dad, mac and cheese, blueberries/strawberries, and cake/ice cream).
We even got to go on a butterfly hunt. I found a few hiding on the steps:)
Uncle John helped me blow bubbles. I finally got to blow out 2 candles after talking about it for a really long time!
My pal, John, helped me open some presents...presents my mom and dad aren't sure where they'll go, but presents that I so appreciate and love!

Baby Emma helped me celebrate too! She has grown so much that I can't hold her like a newborn baby anymore. I can't wait to show her all that I have learned in my short 2 years of life!

Daddy's Birthday

To celebrate Daddy's birthday, mom and I took him golfing. I got to drive the golf cart and kept saying "beep, beep".
At first Daddy tried to help me putt.....
Then I said, "I do it!!!!" I also learned some golf etiquette and safety things....like not screaming while someone is teeing off....and standing far behind Daddy while he is hitting the ball.
I had a great time encouraging Daddy too! I'd scream, "I did it (meaning he did it)!" every time Daddy hit the ball and I'd clap for him. I think Daddy had a great time too:)

Summer Fun

My mom said she always wanted a picture of me falling asleep in my highchair mid-meal. Well...today while my mom slipped out of the room, I fell asleep with a chocolate chip in my mouth:) I guess swimming this morning with my friends Aydin and Malia wore me out!
I even told my mom on the way home from the pool, "no nap!". But I guess moms do know best:)
This was taken a few weeks ago while I was at the park with my friends Ava and Ruby. We meet every Monday morning at the "big park" (aka Lion's Park) and we have a blast! Here I am sneaking some of Ava's yummy snacks (mom brings snacks for me but they are never as good as what my friends bring).
Ruby and I try to climb the tree. We don't get very far, but it does make us giggle.
Maybe when I am just a little bit bigger I can get up there!
